Speaking on behalf of the students, Afghan student Zehra Özbek, a graduate of KTO Karatay University, said, “The right to education is universal regardless of language or religion. We are not only graduating, but we also continue to carry the hopes of oppressed people, women and girls in the world. Every piece of information we learn can be a step not only for us but also for their future. Because we know that education transforms not only the individual but also the society. I would like to thank the Two East Two West International Student Association, my teachers and my dear friends who have never withheld their support since high school.”
Selçuk University graduate Miada Bashir Mohamed Abdallah, a Sudanese student, began her words with the following words: No winter lasts forever. Every snow falls to melt. As long as there is hope in our hearts waiting for spring.” Miada Bashir Mohamed Abdallah said, “Not only as a graduate; as a traveler, as a warrior, as a dream come true. This long journey from the hot winds of Sudan to the cool mornings of Konya did not just earn me a title. It taught me what life was. It showed me how valuable patience, prayer, and resistance are. And most importantly, it taught me this: What you think is impossible actually just requires a little more faith. I was a stranger in these lands. But Turkey gave me not only knowledge, but also my home. Selçuk University gave me not only a diploma, but also friendships, memories, and a second identity that I will carry throughout my life.” He used the expressions.
UDEF Regional President Murat Arslan stated that Muslims should work hard for a fairer world, volunteering is very valuable in this sense, and that it is important and valuable for students to be involved in such civil society activities after returning to their countries.
UDEF (Federation of International Student Associations) and TUMED (International Graduates Association) Board Member Barış Osman stated that he is also a Turkish graduate and provided information about UDEF's work.
